I Used Comedy Skits To Promote “Yeba” – Kiss Daniel
For a while, before the release of his recent single, Yeba; Kiss Daniel entertained his followers on Instagram with comedy skits that eventually went viral. The skits came as a surprise to many of his fans who know a lot about his musical abilities but were unaware of the singer’s rib cracking skills.
The viral spread of his comedy skits led many people to speculate if Kiss Daniel has plans to delve into comedy sometime later.
However, speaking to Punch’s Sunday Scoop the “Sofa” crooner says the reason behind those videos was to promote his single at that time -“Yeba”.
“I have no plans to delve into comedy; music is my major talent. If you listen to my new song, Yeba, you would notice that there are traces of comedy in it. You would also note that I started uploading those comedy skits about a month before Yeba was released, so it was just a strategy to promote the song. It was a means of creating awareness,” he said.

Davido and friends attends Dj Olu's Funeral
Popular singer, Davido was seen at the venue of DJ Olu’s funeral. The DJ, who was Davido’s friend, died under very controversial circumstance on Saturday, October 7th, 2017, alongside a friend identified as Chime. The cause of their death is yet to be determined by the police, but investigation on the case is still ongoing.
DJ Olu’s funeral is currently ongoing at Emmanuel Chapel, 405 Close, Banana Island, Lagos. Davido attended in company of his manager, Asa Asika, B-Red and other members of the DMW group.

“I’m Not A Cultist That Was A Label Handshake” – Yung6ix Reacts To Rumor
Rapper, Yung6ix has denied being a cultist, as against the rumor that he is a member of the Eiye confraternity. The rumor started after he seemingly performed one of the rites synonymous with the said cult group in the video of his song, No Favors. In the video, the singer appeared to let two birds to fly, and in a latter scene, Yung6ix shook hands in a way that sparked suspicion of his cult relation.
The rumor spread quickly across the internet and it did not take long before it got to the rapper. Yung6ix has now reacted to the rumor in a social media post. He debunked the story, claiming the shake is only a ‘record label shake’ (if there’s anything like that). However, some people still aren’t convinced by the rapper’s reaction. Davido Lied About Tagbo’s Death – Police “CCTV footage Reveals Involvement.
Nigerian pop artist Davido has been invited again by the Lagos State command of the Nigerian police in connection with the death of his friend Tagbo Umeike.
As we reported earlier, the autopsy that was done on the deceased revealed that he died of suffocation.
The Acting Lagos Police Commissioner, Imohimi Edgal, stated at a briefing that Davido has been reinvited for questioning.
According to Edgal, the information Davido gave them was different from what was found after their investigation.
Apart from the autopsy report revealing that Tagbo died of asphyxia or suffocation, investigations also revealed that he was abandoned in his car at the hospital by Davido’s driver and two of his friends: Agbeje Olaoye and Idris Busari.
The Lagos police chief said a CCTV footage from the General Hospital where Tagbo was dumped revealed that Davido’s escort Hilux vehicle driver, Tunde Usutu, and his two friends took him to the hospital and abandoned him there.
Davido, according to Edagal, had stated earlier, during a pre-investigation meeting with the police, the deceased’s family, friends and Caroline Danjuma, that he had left Shisha bar where he had been drinking with the deceased for DNA nightclub in Victoria Island and was only informed by mutual friends of his demise.
Before his demise, Tagbo was said to have consumed a huge amount of alcohol. The bartender and CCTV footage confirmed that Tagbo had drunk as much as 40 shots of Tequila and exhibited signs of drunkenness.
Two of Davido’s other friends, DJ Olu and Chime, were found dead in a BMW Saloon car in an underground garage days after Tagbo’s demise. The autopsy done on them to confirm the cause of death is yet to be concluded.

Timaya Lied, Eedris Abdulkareem Saved His Life – Rafioso Responds
Timaya threw caution to the wind in his clap back at hot headed rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem. Eedris had earlier called Timaya an ingrate and he claimed to have helped Timaya in his pursuit of a music career. In Timaya’s epic clap back video, he debunked Eedris’ claim and shaded the rapper for supporting Rafioso, who Timaya said is no longer relevant in the music industry.
Rafioso recently spoke on the controversial issue in an interview with Punch’s Saturday Beats. According to him, Timaya didn’t telling the truth. Rafioso who said he was Eedris Abdulkareem’s manager at the time when Timaya was serving under him, said Eedris treated everyone under him with respect and shared the story of how the rapper saved Timaya’s life when they went for a show in Ogun state.
“There was a time we went for a show at Ogun State University. I was already asleep in my room during the show but I learnt that Timaya insisted that he wanted to perform last after Eedris was done with his performance. The show promoters were not comfortable with the arrangement because Eedris was his boss. Eedris agreed and when he went on stage, the tempo was very high but when it was Timaya’s turn to perform, they were not feeling him anymore. The people began to insult him and Timaya insulted them back.
When he came down from the stage, the cult boys in the school followed him because they wanted to beat him up. The next thing I heard on my door was a loud bang, it was Eedris at my door shouting that I should wake up because the boys wanted to kill Timaya. We went to where Timaya was and brought him to my room where he slept that night. You can ask Timaya or the show promoter, Offshore, he would tell you the truth. Spydaman was at the show among other artistes. The cult boys began to look for Timaya for insulting them but we hid him in our room. Early in the morning, we had to move out.
So when I saw what Timaya posted about Eedris, I felt it was like an insult. I don’t know why he called my name and said that I am nowhere to be found. You don’t say that. He should speak for himself and not for me. I am doing very well. I am an artiste and a show promoter; I also have other businesses I am into. I have houses and tenants. I don’t understand why Timaya mentioned my name. I was with Eedris for more than 16 years and he helped me. He showed me love just like he did to everybody,” he said.
Rafioso went on to apologise on behalf of Eedris Abdulkareem, to the artistes that the rapper has verbally abused over the years, excluding Timaya. He said,
“When I watched Timaya’s video and saw that he said Eedris did not treat him right, I did not understand what he meant. When I first joined the crew, I did not get to see Eedris all the time. He was always inside so we had to relate with his manager.
He was not someone you could walk up to like that because there was protocol. The compound was very big so whenever we got to his place, we would sit under a tree and we ate whatever we wanted to eat because they would bring food for us. Timaya was not the only one with Eedris, there were so many people with him. I remember Eedris told Timaya then that he should stop singing and try to sing a song about his dialect or where he is from. I sincerely apologise on behalf of Eedris to the likes of Tuface, D’banj, Davido, Mr. Eazi and every other person he insulted except Timaya.”
Reacting to Timaya’s statement calling Eedris Abdulkareem a “dirty-looking igbo (marijuana) smoker,” Rafioso said, “Ask Timaya if he smokes Indian hemp as well. That should answer your question.”

While many of us are still trying figure out which song will emerge as Nigeria’s biggest song this year, it seems Starboy Wizkid has it all figured out.
Wiz, has been making the news lately after his recent record-making show at the Royal Albert Hall in London which had over 5,000 audiences in attendance.
Just last night, he tweeted his most favorite song this year and it’s no surprise that he didn’t choose his arch rival; Davido‘s song but rather opted for Street King, Olamide‘s Wo!
When a fan tried to caution him by mentioning Small Doctor‘s Penalty, Wizzy insisted that ‘Wo’ is still the biggest.
As the battle for song of the year continues, we fear it is going to be a tough one to decide.
