Olopade Oluwadamilare Williams alias Damidray is an Afro-rap/Hip-Hop rap artiste, singer, producer and what he likes to call a 'Jaiye (Chop life) Rap'. Born, bred in Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria. A graduate of Physiology from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State.
Damidray traces the advent of his musical affiliation to the private personal lessons listening to rap songs by 2pac, Biggie, Olamide. He went on to study Songwriting and Music Composition at the Terriel Music School, Lagos; where he acquired the necessary skills to polish his music and choose his pattern of expression, greatly influenced by Nigeria and his life experiences.
Raised in a home of music lovers, the artiste grew up performing, recording and writing music in school. This debut album entitled “Jesus Saves, I Spend” served as his introduction to the music scene.
Being a civil and public health activist, he makes every effort to make conscious rap music that air the anomalies in personality and society. His sophomore album is an 13-track masterpiece, titled - Jesus Saves, I Spend, is a song on which he sings about the state and affairs of youths personality, ranging from issues like drug abuse, envy, betrayal from friends to the continuous decadence of the Nigerian economy, bearing in mind, the hope of a better Nigeria. He is currently being managed by friends and investors.
